Teenage volunteer stabbed at soup kitchen

MIDWOOD — POLICE ARE SEARCHING for a man who on the afternoon of Wednesday, Aug. 7, stabbed a 17-year-old working at the Masbia of Flatbush soup kitchen, sending him to Maimonides Medical Center in stable condition. According to amNY, the unknown man had caused a commotion inside the soup kitchen and was escorted out by the teenager, but then stabbed the teen in the stomach when outside before fleeing north on Coney Island Avenue.  The sought individual is described approximately 50 years old, with a dark complexion and a gray beard. He was last seen wearing a blue hat.
