Subway disruptions affect IRT interborough travel and Sheepshead Bay area
BOROUGHWIDE — ‘MULTIPLE INCIDENTS’ CAUSED SUBWAY DELAYS AND DISRUPTIONS for a while on the 2, 3, 4 and 5 trains between Brooklyn and Manhattan, in both directions, according to an alert issued at 2 p.m. from Notify NYC. The MTA’s website explained that a train whose brakes had been activated when it was near the President St-Medgar Evers College stop was being moved from that location. Emergency medical personnel were assisting a passenger near the Bowling Green station. Further into Brooklyn, B and Q lines near Sheepshead Bay were impacted when a train’s brakes were activated; that train also had to be moved.
The MTA reported at 2:20 p.m. that 2 and 5 service between Medgar Evers College and Franklin Ave. has resumed, and 2 train service Brooklyn and Manhattan is returning to normal. B and Q trains are again running with residual delays.
