State Comptroller DiNapoli will visit Brooklyn to release ‘Economic Snapshot of Coney Island and Brighton Beach’
CONEY ISLAND/BRIGHTON BEACH — ‘THE PEOPLE’S PLAYGROUND” and its economic viability is the focus of a presentation that State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli will give when he visits Coney Island next Tuesday, Sept. 24. During his talk, hosted at the New York Aquarium, DiNapoli will release his report, “An Economic Snapshot Of Coney Island and Brighton Beach.” The presentation, which the Alliance for Coney Island is sponsoring, will be an opportunity for community members and business leaders to discuss the report.
In 2012, The Alliance for Coney Island was formed to provide a vehicle for improved collaboration among our stakeholders for the rejuvenation of the world famous and iconic neighborhood. The Alliance sponsors several programs and initiatives, such as community cleanups, food drives and toy giveaways. The Alliance also sponsors a communal Thanksgiving feast each year.
