CLINTON HILL — LOCAL RESIDENTS AREN’T the only people fearful after a triple shooting near a massive migrant shelter complex in Clinton Hill on Sunday. Migrants living at the shelter, along with those forced to sleep in a nearby park because their allowed shelter time has expired, told Gothamist they didn’t realize America would be so violent when they left their home countries, and they fear for their lives. “If I was able to book a flight, I’d go back [to Venezuela] right now, without any money. It’s not all rosy here in America, it’s not like people think,” Jose Manuel Colmenares, 27, said.

Arturo Jose Rodriguez-Marcano, 30, and Enny DeJesus Urbina Mendez, 21, were killed. A 59-year-old man was also shot and was listed in critical condition, NYPD said.
