Police investigate fatal weekend stabbing on Nostrand Ave.

BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A MAN WAS FATALLY STABBED DURING AN ARGUMENT EARLY SUNDAY in Bedford-Stuyvesant, in the 79th Precinct, according to a report from NYPD headquarters. During the incident, which took place around 12:30 a.m. the victim was stabbed in the torso and rushed to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses on the scene described being in shock; one resident noted the amount of blood left behind. No arrests have been made, and police are still working to identify the victim. The full investigation is ongoing.

Sunday’s stabbing marks the fifth homicide within the 79th Precinct for this year, according to the NYPD’s CompStat, which has recorded four during 2024, not including the Sept. 15 incident.
