DUMBO — AVEDA ARTS & SCIENCES INSTITUTES will relocate their New York City campus to 20 Jay Street near the DUMBO waterfront next summer, reports YIMBY (Yes in My Back Yard), a real estate development and construction website. Aveda Arts & Sciences, which is currently in SoHo, will make its home in the 11-story building’s retail section at 35 Pearl Street. Two Trees Management owns the building.

The arts institute will have modern classrooms and dedicated workspaces. Jed Walentas, principal of Two Trees, said Aveda’s move “underscores DUMBO’s desirability as a hub for creativity and innovation,” and “more and more beauty and wellness companies are choosing DUMBO because it’s a place where ideas flourish, and the energy is truly palpable.”

The Institutes’ Soho campus will continue to operate until the official opening of the new DUMBO location, so that current and incoming students can complete their coursework smoothly.
