WASHINGTON, D.C. — REP. YVETTE CLARKE (NY-09) on Wednesday praised the FCC for proposing disclosure requirements for AI-generated political ads on broadcast TV and radio. If adopted, the proposal would compel the agency to begin investigating if the disclosure of AI-generated and synthetic content in political ads on radio and TV should be a requirement, Clarke said in a statement. “Now, Congress must act, as current laws haven’t kept pace with AI’s rapid development,” Clarke said. “This is particularly important due to the frequent spread of misinformation online.”
In May 2023, Clarke introduced the REAL Political Ads Act to ensure disclosure requirements for AI-generated content in online ads.

Brooklyn Boro
View MoreNew York City’s most populous borough, Brooklyn, is home to nearly 2.6 million residents. If Brooklyn were an independent city it would be the fourth largest city in the United States. While Brooklyn has become the epitome of ‘cool and hip’ in recent years, for those that were born here, raised families here and improved communities over the years, Brooklyn has never been ‘uncool’.
