L&M Tours launches new casino bus line

L & M Bus Tours, located in Bay Ridge, is starting a newline that runs to three different casinos – Mount Airy in MountPocono, Pennsylvania; Showboat Casino in Atlantic City; and SandsCasino in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania – beginning on Monday, December5.

Buses depart every Monday for Mount Airy, every Tuesday forShowboat and every Friday to Sands at 8 a.m. from L & M’soffices at 6812 Third Avenue.

The buses then make a number of stops: Bay Ridge Parkway andFifth Avenue; Bay Ridge Parkway and 13th Avenue; Bay Ridge Parkwayand 18th Avenue; 18th Avenue and 86th Street; and 86th Street andSeventh Avenue.

It’s convenient for the neighborhood, said owner Qua Liang.Plus, no other bus companies in the Brooklyn area go to Mount Airyand Sands on a regular basis.

Liang added that you can request a special pick-up along theroute as long as there are five people or more. Buses return toBrooklyn between 7 and 8 p.m. depending on traffic and what casinothey are coming from.

Tickets cost $33 per person for all destinations, but there is abonus for passengers. Mount Airy offers $35 to play the slots;Showboat offers $30 and Sands offers $25 to gamble with.

In addition, If you buy 10 tickets within the first threemonths of this new line, you get the 11th free, Liang said, addingthat L & M has been providing escapes from the city forresidents the past 12 years.

He said that he hopes this new venture goes well. I justdecided to try it out, Liang explained. There is a market; peoplelove to go to casinos. It’s kind of like an adventure.

Besides the new casino trips, L & M also provides both dayand overnight bus trips to Lancaster, Pennsylvania; Washington,D.C.; Boston; Montreal and Quebec, and in the summer to NiagaraFalls, Toronto and Cape Cod.

If traveling by bus isn’t your thing, L & M also can bookcruise packages on Carnival and Norwegian Cruise Lines. They alsosell air and hotel packages to Europe, Asia, Las Vegas andAlaska.
