BROWNSVILLE — A YEAR-OLD BOY IS CLINGING TO LIFE after the car in which he and his mother were passengers was taken on a speeding spree through red lights on Monday evening, reports the Daily News. The driver of a Honda, in which the child and his 21-year-old mother were riding, sped through multiple red lights before crashing into an Acura, at the intersection of Livonia Ave. and Mother Gaston Blvd. in Brownsville. Police found the child bleeding through ears, nose and mouth, and rushed him to Brookdale Hospital where he was pronounced in critical condition with a skull fracture. Both drivers in the collision, which happened around 7 p.m. on May 20, were taken into custody. Police believe the 28-year-old Honda driver was driving under the influence.

However, even though the Acura driver had the right-of-way, she was found to have a suspended license. The adults sustained only minor injuries.
