CITYWIDE – THE NATIONAL WEATHER Service is warning of potential scattered severe thunderstorms on Thursday afternoon and evening, impacting the city and metro area. The NWS says the primary risk from the storms will be wind gusts over 58 mph; power outages from downed lines are possible. Residents are also cautioned of the risk of hail, as well as of potential flash flooding in poor-drainage and low-lying areas.
Fortunately, the Fourth is expected to be bright and sunny, with a high of 83 degrees and a low of 68 degrees.
