ZAMBIA — Elections: A woman swept outside her house in Lusaka on Saturday. Zambian opposition candidate Hakainde Hichilema’s supporters celebrated on Saturday as early election results showed him leading in the tightly-fought, tense presidential race. Ignoring calls by the Electoral Commission for people to wait peacefully for the final official results, young opposition supporters drove through the streets of the capital, Lusaka, playing music and singing.

MALAYSIA — Smile and wave: Embattled Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin waved from a car while entering the National Palace to meet with the King in Kuala Lumpur, on Monday. PAKISTAN — Checkpoint: Pakistan soldiers checked documents of travelers crossing the border to Afghanistan through a crossing point in Chaman, on Monday. A special flight of Pakistan’s national airline PIA has arrived in Islamabad carrying 329 passengers from Kabul, and another carrying 170 people will arrive later today. A spokesman for the airline said Saturday that the airline will operate three flights tomorrow to transport Pakistanis and other nationalities looking to leave Kabul.
