Six arrested over string of 40 burglaries
QUEENS — POLICE ON WEDNESDAY arrested four people in connection with a string of over 40 robberies that took place across the city between March and June of this year. Jesse Pinales, 30, of Queens, was charged with fourth-degree grand larceny and invalid use of a credit card with the intention of fraud, while Ivelisse Rodriguez, 32, and Isaahiah Rodriguez, 22, of Queens, and Jose Montenegro, 39, of Manhattan, were charged with fifth-degree criminal possession of stolen property; two more men, Steven Perez, age 35, of the Bronx, and Alexandar Medine, 52, of Manhattan, were previously charged with third-degree burglary in June. Police said that the burglaries took place between March 21 and June 24, and involved a group of masked individuals breaking into commercial establishments and laundry rooms during overnight hours, removing coin machines, property and thousands of dollars in cash from registers, then fleeing in various vehicles with stolen plates. Three of these incidents took place in Brooklyn, 28 in Queens and nine in the Bronx.
