Eagle sponsors awards ceremony for champions and visionaries of healthcare in Brooklyn

The vitality and availability of healthcare in Brooklyn was the theme of a celebratory event to honor “Champions and Visionaries” on Monday night at the Dyker Beach Golf Club. Sponsored by the Brooklyn Daily Eagle and its long-standing parent company, EBrooklyn Media,  the event honored individuals and institutions that have succeeded

It was an evening dedicated to the overall theme, that no Brooklynite should need to cross over a bridge or go through a tunnel to seek the finest healthcare available.

EBrooklyn Media Director of Events Shanie Persaud welcomed guests and thanked the major sponsors for their support.

“Together we can shed light on people who are making Brooklyn healthier,“ she said. “Brooklyn’s healthcare institutions and the people who make them great provide us with an exciting story to tell.”

PBS Thirteen announcer Tom Stewart served as the master of ceremonies, and introduced Brooklyn Daily Eagle publisher Dozier Hasty.

“The Brooklyn Eagle  is really proud to bring you a night of inspiration, edification and education,” Hasty said. “We hope that tonight you will share our pride as we shine a spotlight on these honorees, who are truly champions and visionaries in health care.”
