Coney Island Cyclone ride stalls, riders walk to safety
Authorities say a gun scare sent panicked passengers stampeding through a New York City subway station, with some losing shoes and tearing bags in the chaos.
Police responding to the Bedford Avenue station in Brooklyn around 1:20 p.m. Saturday say no gun was found and there was no indication that shots were fired.
A woman on an L train approaching the station says passengers in her car started stomping and running toward her yelling that someone had a gun.
