Imagine needing no silverware to enjoy an authentic Italian meal. This is what Fortina, located at the DeKalb Market Hall at 445 Albee Square West in Downtown Brooklyn, has announced diners will be able to do.

The abnormal feast consists of polenta, a cornmeal based mush, that is poured on to a table and then adorned with everything from meatballs to braciole. The mound of food is then covered with spicy marinara sauce and immense quantities of parmesan cheese. Time Out says visitors may get a little messy in the process, but it’s worth it to enjoy this special meal. The rest of Fortina’s menu includes classic italian pasta dishes such as ravioli and baked ziti, a wide range of pizza, and main courses all for affordable prices.
