Bus driver charged for fatal turn

An MTA bus driver was reportedly arrested on Tuesday, December 23 after allegedly striking and killing a 78-year-old pedestrian in East Flatbush.

According to cops, Reginald Prescott, 57, was driving a B44 MTA bus eastbound on Farragut Road when he made a turn onto New York Avenue around 6 p.m. That’s when they say he struck 78-year-old Jean Bonne-Annee, of East Flatbush, who was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver was charged with violation of highway law and failure to yield to pedestrians, according to police reports.
