A stop-work-order was issued for the Whole Foods construction site at Third Avenue and Third Street in Gowanus on Monday, March 18, after a construction worker fell 25-30 feet and had to be taken by ambulance to the hospital. Other reports state that three workers fell.

According to the Department of Buildings website, construction has been halted due to “site conditions endangering workers.”

It is unknown how long it will take for construction to resume.
