Momofuku Milk Bar, the creme de la creme of dairy purveyors, may soon be terrorizing vegans in Carroll Gardens. The popular New York-based dessert-monger has a new Brooklyn location on file with the New York City Department of Health, listed at 360 Smith St.

The exciting culinary news, first reported by Eater, has yet to be announced by Momofuku.

When reached by phone, a manager at a Manhattan Milk Bar location wouldn’t confirm that a new Brooklyn restaurant was in the works.

According to the State Liquor Authority, Momofuku Milk Bar, whose Williamsburg location serves beer, has not yet filed for a liquor license.

Furthermore, before filing for a license, restaurants are required to give the community board 30-day advance notice, and Craig R. Hammerman, district manager for Carroll Gardens’ Community Board 6, says that Momofuku hasn’t applied for the board’s approval in the last few months.

But for those holding out hope for the speedy arrival of a “corn-flake Marshmallow” rescue package on Smith Street this spring, the board’s March agenda hasn’t yet been finalized and could still include an application from the cult confectioner.

The paper-covered windows of 360 Smith’s ground floor and the DOH filing are certainly exciting a lot of conjecture.
