All proceeds supported Paws NY (@pawsny), providing vital care to pets across the city. From creative homemade costumes to adorable rookie tricks, this event was pure joy for every dog lover!

    Downtown Brooklyn was treated to moody lighting an Downtown Brooklyn was treated to moody lighting and fog effects at Brooklyn Borough Hall on Thursday evening when the Disney+ series “Daredevil: Born Again” (@daredevil) filmed a scene on the plaza steps. 

Banners showing a man’s stern face (“Mayor Fisk,” aka crime boss “Kingpin,” played by Brooklyn-born actor Vincent D’Onofrio) and the words “New York Born Again” hung between the pillars; an armored vehicle was parked on the plaza; and flowers were piled on the steps, giving the scene an ominous air.

    Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, alongsid Brooklyn District Attorney Eric Gonzalez, alongside Community Board 18, the Jewish Association Serving the Aging, and the Hebrew Educational Society, joined forces in Canarsie for an #OlderAmericansMonth celebration on May 20. Together, they raised awareness and shared vital resources to protect older adults from scams, fraud, elder abuse, and other crimes.

More than 100 older adults came out to get informed, empowered and supported. 💪
