Versatile restaurateur Harris Salat is preparing to make a big return to Brooklyn this fall, opening a taqueria known simply as Taqueria and a sushi place named Bigeye Sushi in Downtown Brooklyn. Salat closed his Ganso Ramen eatery at 25 Bond St. in May, but will open Taqueria in the same space early next month, according to Eater.

It will feature Mexico City-style tacos with handmade tortillas, Mexican craft beer and other beverages from south of the border. Bigeye Sushi will open at 2 MetroTech Center and will serve sushi rolls, bowls and salads in a casual setting, Eater reported. Salat owned several Asian-style restaurants with the name Ganso in the past, and while all have now closed, they were “popular but relaxed neighborhood spots,” Eater said.
