“Jane Walentas’s restoration of Jane’s Carousel stands as one of Brooklyn’s most cherished landmarks,” said Councilmember Lincoln Restler. “By renaming the corner of Old Dock Street and Water Street in her honor, we recognize not only her remarkable contributions to DUMBO and Brooklyn Bridge Park, but also her lasting legacy as an artist and community builder who believed every child deserved to experience the magnificent carousel on our stunning waterfront.”
