    It was like a bombshell 🧨 dropped on Brooklyn H It was like a bombshell 🧨 dropped on Brooklyn Heights earlier this week when the city announced a police shutdown 🛑 of traffic into the neighborhood — particularly, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade, which will be closed to all public viewing of the 🎆 Macy’s July 4th fireworks 🎇 on the waterfront.

    This year, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade — usua This year, the Brooklyn Heights Promenade — usually one of the best spots to watch the Macy’s fireworks — will be off-limits to the public and reserved exclusively for 4,000 city employees.

The surrounding neighborhood will face major disruptions starting at 2 PM:

🔒 Street closures
🪪 Mandatory ID checks for residents
🚫 No vehicle access in key areas
🚷 Clark Street subway station skipped from 8–11 PM
