Guided by Elaine Brodsky, one of the founders of the North Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Representative Carol Maloney of New York’s 12th district (red coat) took a morning last week to meet Greenpoint business owners “where the rubber meets the road.”

The Brooklyn Eagle mascot was impressed with the photo gallery of the whole Bar Method team, seen on the wall next to co-owners Katie and Caitlin. But, alas, Eddie the Eagle failed his tryout to be a team member, despite his ‘thumbs up’ for the exquisite renovation of their studios.

Greenpoint Toy Center was also on the Maloney tour. Here, owner Herman Hernandez, a retired NYPD sergeant, poses with Eddie and Maloney.

Paul Samulski (not pictured), President of the North Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, was too shy to be photographed with Eddie, even though he and Elaine Brodsky (pictured here with no fear of a massive Eagle) arranged the upbeat visit by representative Maloney to the Greenpoint biz community.
