Senior standout Finn Stubbs poured in 34 points, two shy of his career high, as the Brooklyn Friends boys’ basketball team beat York Prep, 107-91, last Thursday in the Independent Schools Athletic League Championship Game.

By finishing an undefeated 15-game run through the ISAL season, the Blue Pride (20-4) earned a coveted invite to the New York State Association of Independent Schools Tournament, which kicks off Wednesday at 5 p.m., vs. Park Slope’s Berkeley Carroll School at Grace Church.

“Being selected to the NYSAIS is an enormous achievement for our program,” said BFS Head Coach Will Modeste, who is in his 15th and final season at the Pearl Street school.

“We lost nine seniors from last years’ team,” he added. “In the last 20 years, Brooklyn Friends School made NYSAIS three times, including winning it in 2003.”

Stubbs, who reached the coveted 1,000-point career scoring mark during the ISAL semifinals last week, highlighted his latest scintillating performance with a thunderous alley-oop dunk.

If they can knock off BCS Wednesday, the Blue Pride would get a shot at top-seeded Friends Seminary on Thursday.

“We are extremely proud of the season we had winning the ISAL League regular-season title and tournament championship,” added Modeste, whose squad has ripped off 11 straight victories heading into the state preliminaries.

“Berkeley Carroll is a great program, which won NYSAIS in 2015,” he noted. “They are one of the better teams in the ACIS this season. I feel very confident in my players and expect us to hold our own in this tournament.”
