A 48-year-old man was strangled with what cops believe was a shoelace on Saturday, September 3 while walking to his car parked in Bath Beach.

According to police, the victim was near his car on 20th Lane when his friend, 40, came up behind him, strangled him, and continued to punch him in the face several times at around 2 a.m.

The man was taken to NYU Lutheran Medical Center and treated for his injuries.
