PHOTOS: Brooklyn South Conservative Club holds another successful Presidents Day dinner
On Thursday, February 25, the Brooklyn South Conservative Club held its annual Presidents Day Dinner at the Bay Ridge Manor. With retired Colonel Michael Gould, former Army Garrison commander at Fort Hamilton, as recipient of the Paul Adams award and the keynote speaker, an overflowing, excited crowd was in attendance.
Liam McCabe, club president, was honored both by Gould’s presence and by his speech at the event. McCabe credited him with working with community leaders and being a forward thinker during his tenure at the base. While giving his keynote speech, McCabe recalled, Gould commented on a possible run for office by McCabe.
McCabe stated he was honored to be complimented in such a way but, “Right now, I’m just happy serving the people of my community in my capacity.”
