A 32-year-old white man from Staten Island has been charged in connection with multiple bomb threats made Sunday, December 6 and Monday, December 7 towards two TD Banks in Bay Ridge.

According to a police source, Jeffrey Cicirello, was picked up at 86th Street and Fifth Avenue following the threats thanks to work by the NYPD Major Case Unit, which cracked the case.

As this paper previously reported, Cicirello allegedly made at least four phone calls threatening the branches at 8206 Fifth Avenue and 9904 Fourth Avenue within the two-day span.

“My main concern with what’s going on in today’s world is you don’t know what’s real and what’s not,” said 68th Precinct Captain Raymond Festino at a December 8 Dyker Heights Civic Association meeting. The suspect, he added, “was just a malcontent unhappy with the world.”

Cops say Cicirello has been charged with aggravated harassment.

Update: A previous version of this story reported that the address of the first TD Bank branch targeted was 8306 Fifth Avenue. The correct address is 8206 Fifth Avenue.
