State Sen. Marty Golden is co-hosting a social media and marketing seminar on Tuesday, Oct. 6 at the Bay Ridge Manor, 476 76th St., at 6:30 p.m.

Golden (R-C-Bay Ridge-Southwest Brooklyn) is working with the Staten Island Small Business Development Center to organize the seminar.

The event is designed to help local businesses develop effective social media strategies and action plans that can support and advance their sales and marketing, Golden said.

Charles Conard, co-founder of Social Go To, a company that helps small and medium-sized companies and organizations effectively use social media, will be the guest speaker.

“As a former small business owner and merchant leader, I know how much work it takes to make a business profitable,” said Golden, the former owner of the Bay Ridge Manor.

“As technology continues to advance and be so integral in our everyday lives, store owners should adapt to new ways to showcase their merchandise, promote their name and product and build interest in their products. I hope many of our local stores and their staffs join us for this informative meeting,” Golden said.
