Suspect sought in string of hospital thefts
Cops are looking to locate and identify the man they say has robbed three hospitals – including Sunset Park’s Lutheran Medical Center – since the beginning of the year.
According to police, the suspect – described as a black man weighing anywhere from 200 to 300 pounds – first struck Saint Luke’s Hospital in Manhattan on Monday, January 26, swiping a 61-year-old man’s credit and debit cards from his office.
On Friday, April 24, the same suspect entered Mount Sinai Hospital at around noon and swiped a 35-year-old man’s credit card and gold ring from inside his hospital room.
