MINNESOTA — Baby Gorilla Makes Debut: Baby Arlene is held by her mother Dara at the Como Zoo on Friday in St. Paul. The 2½-month-old Western Lowland Gorilla made her debut at the zoo at the indoor exhibit of the Primate Building. The female gorilla was born on Feb. 22.

AZERBAIJAN — Rescue Worker Lowered onto Roof: A rescue worker gets on a roof of an apartment building after a fire in Baku on Tuesday. Azerbaijani officials say 16 people have died and more than 50 have been injured in a fire at an apartment building in Baku, the capital. The massive fire quickly engulfed 16-story apartment building Tuesday and took hours to contain. Azerbaijan’s chief prosecutor, Zakir Garalov, said the bad quality of plastic paneling covering the building contributed to the fire and a criminal probe has been launched to determine the culprits.
