Panera breaks bread at Gateway Center
Eric Adams opens establishment

Borough President Eric Adams led Brooklyn lawmakers and businesses leaders in welcoming a new Panera Bread to the Gateway Center in East New York during the recent grand opening of the bakery-café.
Located at 528 Gateway Drive, the new Panera Bread celebrated its opening by giving away free coffee for a week to its first 250 customers.
The new Gateway Center location is expected to add a total of 60 jobs to the neighborhood, according to Panera Bread representatives.
The bakery-café offers bread items, soups, salads, sandwiches, pastas and other dishes and is operated by Doherty Enterprises, the entity that oversees Panera Bread locations in Long Island, Brooklyn, Queens and Staten Island.
The new Panera Bread also boasts free Wi-Fi and Rapid Pick-Up, an advanced ordering option for to-go orders.
