ON THIS DAY in 1909, the Brooklyn Daily Eagle published an article titled “Legislative Bosses to Act on Transit Bills.”

The article focused on plans to sort out and expand transit bills.

“The course to be followed by the Legislature regarding the legislation desired by the Public Service Commissions and the general plan on the dealing with all matters pertaining to the work of the commissions will be decided at a conference to be held at the home of Lt. Gov. Horace White,” the Eagle reported.
