FDNY puts out Ridge Boulevard blaze

The Fire Department of New York responded to a fire at 221 79th Street on Friday, January 30 around 3 p.m.

According to FDNY officials, initial units arrived on-scene four minutes and three seconds later, calling an all-hands – a response of approximately 12 units and 60 members.The fire was in the basement of the building and was brought under control around 4 p.m.

One patient was transported in serious, life-threatening condition to Lutheran Medical Center.
