Brooklyn Daily Eagle’s legal editor, Charisma L. Troiano, Esq., spoke with U.S. Rep. Hakeem Jeffries (D-Brooklyn) Tuesday on the nationwide issue of police-involved killings that is being experienced in Brooklyn and the effect on the community at large and, in particular, communities of color.

As Brooklyn prepares for the outcome of DA Kenneth Thompson’s investigation into the Akai Gurley shooting in an East New York housing project, Congressman Jeffries, along with Brooklyn College professor Alex Vitale and civil rights attorney Andrew Stoll, sat down with Troiano to discuss the issue and possible avenues for reform and solution. Hopefully we can continue this conversation as this issue shines bright in the national spotlight.
