Brooklyn Daily Eagle legal editor Charisma L. Troiano Esq. recently hosted a segment for BK Live discussing the Brooklyn District Attorney’s pilot program, which is geared toward preventing domestic killings. What is the program, titled the Danger Assessment and how will it work? And does the goal of the Danger Assessment outweigh any potential civil liberties abuses?

Brooklyn attorney Nicole Bellina and Abbie Tuller, Executive Director of North Brooklyn Coalition (a resource for domestic abuse victims), join to discuss the DA’s policy which would increase the detention time of an abuser in an effort to thwart a potential domestic killing.
