The latest treat for Ridge residents and visitors is nestled right on Fifth Avenue at 76th Street, with the grand opening of the Brooklyn Cupcake Express Spot.

On Saturday, May 3, strollers along the strip were able to sample mini-cupcakes representing the wide range of offerings from the nearly four-year-old bakery founded by Carmen Rodriguez, whose main location is at 335 Union Avenue in Williamsburg, and who has just opened this outpost inside popular deli Mejlander & Mulgannon.

There are 18 flavors of cupcake available at the Brooklyn Cupcake Express Spot, ranging from Chocolate Cheese Cake to Coconut to Crazy Carrot and Rainbow Cookie.

Cupcakes are $2.50 each; six for $13.50; and 12 for $25.

The cupcakes are also available at Whole Foods Markets including the Brooklyn location at 214 Third Street in Gowanus.
