Dozens of businesses were nominated in The Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator’s Best of the Boro Competition, Family, Education and Recreation. Now the large field of contenders has been whittled down to the very best. And, it’s your turn to vote again, choosing among the top 10 vote-getters in each category, in a final round of voting which will last through September 12.

With thousands of places to have fun throughout the borough, Brooklyn residents don’t lack choice.  Whether you want to shoot some pool, catch a flick or explore some ancient art, our borough is not short of museums, arcades and theaters. The only problem is sorting all the options to find the cream of the crop.  There is really only one way to decide what the best is – use the wisdom of the crowd and let the public decide.

Sub categories range from best children’s party place to best hotel/motel; from best bicycle shop to the best tutor; from the best fine jewelers to the best summer camp. Each subcategory will crown a winner and a runner-up. In order for a category to be included, there had to be three or more nominations. To be nominated, a business had to be located in Brooklyn.
