Cobble Hill woman found dead in her apartment
Former New York Post editor Elizabeth Borst, 55, was discovered unconscious and bleeding from a head wound in the living room of her apartment at Clinton and Sackett Streets at around 10:30 a.m. on Friday, February 22, by a local bodega clerk, who had been asked by Borst’s husband to check on her while he was at work, said police.
She later died of her injuries at nearby Long Island College Hospital.
The death is still under investigation; it is unknown whether Borst had an accident or was murdered. Her husband, Gaetano Lisco, was at work at the time, but was questioned for several hours at the 76th Precinct before being released.
