Coney Island Hospital, still disabled, opens Urgent Care Center
Coney Island Hospital, devastated by Superstorm Sandy, has opened a walk-in Urgent Care Center –- but not an emergency room, the hospital emphasizes.
Officials estimate that the damaged hospital won’t be back on its feet until early next year.
In the meantime, walk-in services are available 24 hours a day at 2601 Ocean Parkway. Outpatient primary care services are available Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-8 p.m. and weekends from 8 a.m. – 4 p.m.
