Attention Brooklyn shoppers: This Saturday, November 24, you have the chance to support your local community and “shop small” — plus get into the holiday spirit — during Small Business Saturday.

Atlantic Avenue will plug into Saturday’s event and kick off the holiday shopping season with a host of free festivities and holiday happenings. Neighborhood merchants will be offering Brooklyn-made and Brooklyn-themed gifts, antiques and more.

Small Business Saturday is wedged between Black Friday (the big shopping day after Thanksgiving) and Cyber Monday  (the big Internet shopping day next Monday). The day is designed to keep local dollars flowing to small “mom and pop” businesses in the community.
