Man Wanted for Robbing, Shooting, Duct-Taping Brownsville Victim

Police at press time were looking for a suspect wanted for a robbery and shooting in Brownsville. On Monday, March 18, the suspect entered an apartment in Brownsville, pointed a gun at the occupant, a 44-year-old man, and started to tie him up with duct tape. After a struggle, the suspect shot him in the neck, then removed property from the apartment. The victim was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police were looking for George Sterling, 29, a black man about 5-foot-11 and weighing 150 pounds.
