Brooklyn residents are still applauding P.S. 17 teacher Cassandra Byrd-Scloaro, who, during her lunch hour on Wednesday, applied CPR to a suspected overdose victim whom she found lying on the floor of a restaurant bathroom. EMS workers arrived at the S & B Restaurant on Bedford Avenue minutes later and helped to revive the woman. However, according to the Daily News, the drugged-out victim didn’t say thank you – she merely “gave the finger” to Byrd-Scolaro and the medical workers.
