Col. Michael Gould, commander of Fort Hamilton Army Base, accepts holiday cards from Irina Oleynikova, service coordinator for the Shore Hill Senior Housing of Lutheran Health Care. Col. Gould visited the residents on Jan. 3 to accept the cards on behalf of Fort Hamilton. He expressed an interest in strengthening the friendship by having Fort Hamilton personnel visit the residents or bringing the residents on a field trip to Fort Hamilton.
