PYO Peewee Football: Packers and Steelers tie in face-off
On a mud-slicked field which was a lot of fun for the playersbut not so much for the moms who would have to get the players’white uniform pants clean, the Packers came from behind with a latesecond half score to gain a 12-all tie with the Steelers in aPeewee game.
The teams swapped touchdowns in the first half with the Steelersscoring first. Matthew Rossetti, following a great block by centerColin Trainor, broke free on a 30-yard jaunt right down the middleof the field for an early 6 to 0 lead.
The Packers came right back on their first possession, but theyground out the yardage on a nearly nine-minute drive. AntonioMarino and Antonio Perfetto chewed up the turf in little bites asthe Pak worked its way to the Steeler five-yard line. From there,Robert McCool finished off the drive with an end sweep behind anice block by Tahmauri Bobo to put six points on the board and tiethe game.
