Ops pizza expands from Brooklyn to East Village

EAST VILLAGE & BUSHWICK — A new Manhattan outpost of Ops, a Brooklyn pizza staple since 2016, is opening a new location at 176 Second Ave. on June 28, according to Resy.

Co-owner Mike Fadem is bringing the Bushwick original’s wood-fired neo-Neapolitan pies and sourdough base to the East Village, adding tavern-style pizzas and specials like fritto misto.

“Pizza is one of the first foods you remember, so it’s loaded, and we don’t want to fight [anyone’s] comfort level,” Fadem told Resy.
