DOT closes parts of Joralemon St. for subway station upgrades, water main construction

BROOKLYN HEIGHTS/DOWNTOWN — PARTS OF JORALEMON STREET WILL BE CLOSED OFF for construction jobs and the installation of a new water main, the NYC Department of Transportation announced. Joralemon St. will be closed from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, April 26, and from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, April 27 for an offloading of steel and other construction materials.

Joralemon St. will also be closed between Clinton and Court streets and between Sidney Place and Henry St. from Friday, April 25 through May 3, to install NYC Department of Environmental Protection sewer and water main for the Dept. of Design and Construction. Portions of Henry St. between Joralemon and State St. and of State St. between Henry St. and Sidney Place, will also be impacted by the installation of sewer and water main infrastructure during these time periods.  

The above named-cross streets on the impacted roadways are named in the order of traffic flow. For example, traffic is normally westbound on Joralemon St., eastbound on State St., southbound on Henry St. and northbound on Sidney Place.
