Nets to hold open auditions for dancers this weekend

PROSPECT HEIGHTS — THE BROOKLYN NETS are set to hold open call auditions for the Brooklynettes dance team this weekend at the Barclays Center, reports the Brooklyn Paper. Dancers 18 and up can compete to impress the celebrity judges for one of 22 open spots on next season’s lineup. Day one, on Saturday, will require hopefuls to learn a choreographed high-heels dance routine. Those selected for callbacks will go through three more days of testing on everything from personality to technical skill before the final squad is chosen.

Auditions start at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 13, at the Barclays Center. Dancers are encouraged to wear “full glam hair and makeup,” and to bring form-fitting clothing, sneakers and heels. More information can be found on the Brooklynettes’ Instagram page.
