The Brooklyn Republican 2023 holiday party was held this past Monday evening at the Bay Ridge Manor, showcasing a toy drive to benefit Memorial Sloan Kettering Children’s Hospital.
The gala drew upwards of 100 people and brought about a who’s who of Republican and Conservative leaders, as well as elected officials that included former State Sen. Marty Golden; Jerry Kassar, chairman of the New York State Conservative Party; Richie Barsamian, chairman, Kings County Republican Party; Fran Vella-Marrone, chairwoman, Kings County Conservative Party; Councilman Ari Kagan; Councilman; Vito LaBella; Alec Brook-Krasny, assemblyman, 46th District (representing Sheepshead Bay, Gerritsen Beach, Georgetown, and parts of Marine Park); Michael Novakhov, assemblyman, 45th District (representing portions of Sheepshead Bay, Midwood, Manhattan Beach, Gravesend, and Brighton Beach); Lester Chang, assemblyman, 49th district (representing Bath Beach, Bensonhurst, Borough Park, and Dyker Heights); Councilman Kalman Yeger; and American activist, radio talk show host, and founder and chief executive officer of the Guardian Angels, Curtis Sliwa.
The theme of the evening was unequivocally GOP unity. However, there was a true feeling of togetherness in the room that seemed to transcend politics. Overall, the night was a smashing success.
