In an effort to demystify the complex process of running for office in New York, the New York City Bar Association has announced an upcoming event titled “How to Get on the Ballot in New York.” scheduled for Monday, Dec. 4, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.
This in-person seminar aims to provide attendees with a comprehensive understanding of the necessary steps and legal requirements to become a candidate in local elections.
The program is designed to break down what is often perceived as an intimidating process into manageable components. It will cover a range of topics crucial for prospective candidates, including determining eligibility for various offices, the intricacies of petitioning, and navigating the administrative processes at the Board of Elections.
