BROOKLYN HEIGHTS — Plymouth Church presented its Yankee Fair — a neighborhood block party that started roughly 175 years ago — on Saturday.

The summer-like weather made it a perfect day for kids’ outdoor games, face painting, a bouncy house, rides and crafts.

Adults browsed the Brooklyn Loaves bakery table laden with handmade cakes, breads and jams, and shopped for handmade items, knickknacks and books. Everyone enjoyed the history tours and the delicious and hearty homemade lunch.
